Hi everyone,
We are very sorry to send out another email but poor Casper is still looking for a foster home. We thought you'd like to know that now he has started training and is doing great! He knows many commands now such as "Sit", "Down", "Leave it", "Paw". Unfortunately he is getting depressed living in a kennel - even though it is a very nice one! - and he needs to be in a real home ASAP.
For those of you who don't know, Casper is a young male boxer who has not had a good start in life. He came to us in January after being left tied over night in front of the SPCA Jean Talon. The poor guy seems to not have had a drop of love in his previous life. When Casper came to us, he had no manners and lacked impulse control. Now that he is having positive reinforcement clicker training sessions every day including two sessions a week with professional canine behaviour consultants, he is showing us how incredibly smart he is! Casper is a very fast learner and is very motivated. He is affectionate and he loves to be around people.
Because Casper still needs to continue his training, he is looking for a very specific foster home - no young children, no cats, and no dogs. We will contnue his professional training sessions when he goes into a new foster home and offer unlimited support to his foster home. Unfortunately such a foster home has not been found yet and Casper has been kennelled so far. Even though he is in a beautiful kennel, he has been in there too long and he is getting stressed. We would love to find him a foster home where he can continue his training and relax in a real home and loving environment. If this sounds like your home - please contact us info@boxerrescuequebec.com or find out more about fostering here http://boxerrescuequebec.com/fostering.cfm.
